1. The generous one is not he who promises
And delays until he is admonished with reproach
١. وَليسَ كَريماً مَن يَجودُ بِمَوعِدٍ
وَيَمطُلُ حَتّى يُقتَضى بِعِتابِ
2. But he who right after speaking hastens
To do a good deed or give a gracious answer
٢. وَلَكِنَّهُ مَن يُتبِعُ القَولَ مُسرِعاً
جَزيلَ ثَوابٍ أَو جَميلَ جَوابِ
