1. When I die, then bid me farewell with a thrice fluttering heart,
The wail of a reed-flute and the clashing of flowers.

2. Crush naught but sweet herbs to let their juices
Flow oโer the sod that doth my body cover.
ูข. ูููุง ุชูุนููุฑู ุบููุฑู ุงูุนููุงุฑู ููุชููุถูุญู
ุซูุฑู ุฌูุฏูุซู ู
ูู ุณููุฑููุง ุงูู
ูุชูุฌุงุฏูุฑู
3. And say: โSuch was the outward life he led,
But God alone knows what a man concealeth.โ
ูฃ. ููููููู ููุฐุง ููุฏ ูุงูู ุธุงููุฑู ููุนูููู
ููููููู ููุนููุฏู ุงููููู ุนููู
ู ุงูุณูุฑุงุฆูุฑู
4. If on the Day of Doom, my Lord should ask me
And reckon with me for major sins,

ููุญูุณูุจุชู ุนูู ููุนูู ุงูุฐูููุจู ุงูููุจุงุฆูุฑู
5. I will say: โI tasted wine but told no lie,
Nor stabbed สฟAbd al-Qays with a fateful blow."
