1. Our wealth was belittled by the arrogant souls
So our swords, though short, gave us our height
2. And our long spears built up our glory
Though our lives seemed short when brandished
3. How often did we fight fierce battles
With cups of wine passed around
4. Our eloquent poems voiced our traits
Their wounds from poetry deep and hard
5. So if our glory's no longer seen
Still it secretly lives on unfazed
