١. وَظَبيٍ حازَ رِقّي وَهوَ رِقّي
بِصِحَّةِ كَسرَةِ الطَرفِ السَقيمِ
2. It equals Joseph the truthful in beauty
And description, by the judgement of the learned
٢. يُناسِبُ يوسُفَ الصِدّيقَ حُسناً
وَوَصفاً في قِياسِ ذَوي العُلومِ
3. For the former is a noble king
And the latter a noble slave
٣. فَذَلِكَ قَبلَ ذا مَلِكٌ كَريمٌ
وَهَذا قَبلُ مَملوكٌ كَريمُ
