1. You were honored yesterday by the transfer of steps,

١. شُرِّفتَ بِالأَمسِ بِنَقلِ الخُطى
حَتّى اِنقَضَت لي لَيلَةٌ صالِحَه
2. So return with it until the people say:
How this night resembles last night!
٢. فَعُد بِها حَتّى تَقولَ الوَرى
ما أَشبَهَ اللَيلَةَ بِالبارِحَه
