1. My excuses are wide but the path is narrow
Keeping me from seeking that lord
١. سَعَةُ العُذرِ لي وَضيقُ الحِجابِ
جَنَّباني عَن قَصدِ ذاكَ الجَنابِ
2. And betrothal of the shy is easier for me
Than clashing with the veiled ladies
٢. وَقُطوبُ الخُطوبِ أَهوَنُ عِندي
مَوقِعاً مِن تَقَطُّبِ الحُجّابِ
