1. I say, and your letters have reached my companions,
Yet I see no letters among them except theirs.
١. أَقولُ وَقَد وافَت إِلى الصُحبِ كُتبُكُم
وَلَم أَرَ لِيَ مِن دونَهُم بَينَهُم كُتُبا

For Ramla neither anklet wandering, nor heart.
٢. تَجولُ خَلاخيلُ النِساءِ وَلا أَرى
لِرَملَةَ خَلخالاً يَجولُ وَلا قُلبا
