1. Like ablution with sand when no water can be found
Though invalid when water is around
١. مِثلُ التَيَمُّمِ لِلصَعيدِ
مِثلُ التَيَمُّمِ لِلصَعيدِ
2. Why would I seek the sand, when my grandfather ascended in glory
And life flows freely in Iraq, its water as sweet as roses
٢. يُختارُ مَع عَدَمِ المِيا
هِ وَباطِلٌ عِندَ الوُجودِ
3. Ships sail in the dark night tied like necklaces
Then the moon rises, striking like a pillar
٣. ما لي وَقَصدي لِلصَعي
دِ وَسَعدُ جَدّي في صُعودِ
4. Marvel at this modest castle, cleaved by eternal light
Its stars like strings of lustrous pearls
٤. وَالعَيشِ طَلقٌ بِالعِرا
قِ وَماؤُهُ عَذبُ الوُرودِ
5. You'd think the sky was articulating
The virtues of the blessed King
٥. وَالسُفنُ في تَيّارِ دِج
لَةَ نُظِّمَت نَظمَ العُقودِ
6. Highest of kings is Muhammad
Noble of nature and kindness untold
٦. فَإِذا رَأَيتَ بِهِ شُعا
عَ البَدرِ يَضرِبُ كَالعَمودِ
7. A king of generous hand
Yet brief in keeping his word
٧. فَاِعجَب مِنَ الصَرحِ البَسي
طِ يَشِقُّ بِالنورِ المَديدِ
8. O holder of newfound fortune and joy
Rejoice in your ascent to the heights
٨. وَإِذا رَأَيتَ نُجومَها
كَقَلائِدِ الدُرِّ النَضيدِ
9. And celebrate your blessed feast
Sacrificing your sheep, sending portions to the crowds
٩. خِلتَ السَماءَ تَمَنطَقَت
بِمَناقِبِ المَلِكِ السَعيدِ
10. And submit to the schemes of foes
In tranquil, pleasant life
١٠. أَسمى المُلوكِ مُحَمَّدُ ال
مَجبولُ مِن كَرَمٍ وَجودِ
١١. مَلِكٌ طَويلُ يَدِ السَماحِ
قَصيرُ أَعمارِ الوُعودِ
١٢. يا صاحِبَ الجَدِّ السَعي
دِ وَصاحِبِ السَعدِ الجَديدِ
١٣. أَسعِد بِنَيلِكَ لِلعُلى
وَتَهَنَّ بِالعيدِ السَعيدِ
١٤. وَاِنحَر عِداكَ بِهِ وَصَل
لِ وَصِل بِرِفدِكَ لِلوُفودِ
١٥. وَاِسلَم عَلى كَيدِ العِدى
جَذلانَ في عَيشٍ رَغيدِ
