1. Turn away from the pleasures of youth, do not
Mix with them, and praise the just Imam instead,

2. The Noble Arab, Al-Murtada
A descendant of the Sultan, a lineage of nobles

3. Acknowledge him at dawn with fame
And that all people recognize his great efforts

4. He has no fault but that
He is the brother of Sharaf, known for his immense generosity

5. A man who sees stinginess as a fault in one
Who calls himself a man, like committing sins

6. He is the lion in battle, fierce in the fray
And in peace he is the rain that brings food

7. In generosity he is nobler than Hatim
And in war a man of dignity and vengeance

8. His forefathers are all chiefs
The people of glory and lofty stature

9. A hero who does not care for his enemies
Even when the blows fall heavy in the crush

10. Who makes his loved ones forget their loved ones
And abandon their brave ones like ostriches

11. A generous man, stingy in his pride
Recognized thus before the time of weaning

12. How could I forget to praise him
When their friendship is constant upon us

13. A king whose sight brings healing to hearts
And seeing his smile, cures illness

14. His right hand brings prosperity to the land
And in his left, death to adversities

15. A brave and strong hero of awe
Taking the place of the magnificent fifth [caliph]

16. And the supporters of the noble one are victorious
With the troops of the All-Dominant in battle

17. The banners of glory are unfurled
By the justice of the Son of the Sultan, slayer of enemies

18. And the hands of his enemies are defeated
By the blue blades and the cutting swords

19. Upon him, prayers from his Lord
And the finest blessings and purest peace

20. And below them, for the one whose sole ambition
Is to praise you in verse
