While the knowledgeable person is honored among people

7. The servant gains the status of the noble
Through knowledge, and the free man becomes the best of ranks

8. I have advised you, so hold on to the advice of a youth
Who is sympathetic, worried, pure from turbidity

9. So do not sit with the ignorant evil ones, my boy
And flee from them and beware of them

10. And do not sit with one who laughs much, doubtable
And do not sit with one whose talk is noisy

11. And do not accompany a lying brother, and be smart
In action, words, news and influence

12. And leave sitting with the slanderer, striving
And be forbearing, sitting with the worldly wise and cautious

13. For the gathering of people of knowledge is a rank
And the gathering of evil in my view is the greatest harm

14. I am a trustee, pure in affection, dignified

And none choose it except the very deluded

22. And direct your worries to the hereafter, and be cautious
You will meet happiness in gardens, on couches

23. Stop the teacher regarding what he said of etiquette
And make his area the highest rank

24. And do not oppose him in words or deeds
And do not oppose him, and beware the wrath of rejection

25. For he is an advisor - there is no one who resembles him
For all who come, from Bedouin and from settled

26. And lower your wing humbly to the teacher, for he
Is the caring father, famous for his news

27. And meet the enemy with a face devoid of gloom

28. Be content with Allah's decree, full of lessons
In benefit and harm, hardship and ease

29. And if you love, do not be consumed by it, and if

30. And do not travel with the riffraff on roads
And be with the agreeable one if you travel

31. Stay, live and remain in goodness and wellbeing
And in plentiful, comfortable living for the duration of life
