1. In compliance and obedience to the imam
The eminent Arab, the mighty

2. Sword of Sultan bin
Seif, the virtuous and dignified

3. He is the imam, son of the imam
The victorious hero

4. And son of the brave
Whose faces shine like gems

5. The people of merits, means
And messages, conducts and moons

6. The owners of banquets, benefits
And unique pearls

7. They are the lofty chiefs
Who conquered with pouring swords

8. This imam, the imam of justice
Famed for his glories

9. He does not impose his opinion
For he is calm, wise and discerning

10. When he decides on something
He consults those present

11. He has spread God's justice
Everywhere, becoming well-known

12. His justice covered the plains
With light like the sun and force

13. How much he forgave those
Who committed a grave sin, and pardoned

14. O you man, take heed
And listen to beneficial advice

15. I advise you not to commit
Disobedience of our most pious master

16. Whoever is reasonable should heed
My advice and learn

17. And consider disobeying the imam
The dutiful one of the greatest sins

18. That son of Sultan bin Saif
Whoever disobeys him has blasphemed

19. Whoever disobeys the imam
Has done something abhorrent

20. Misguided by his time
Deceived by what has passed

21. So let the reasonable one contemplate
And see, the insightful and observant one

22. Be sensible and perceptive
Of intelligence, a brother of thought

23. Reason restrains its people
While the foolish are in danger

24. This imam is like a warning
Of intense, blazing punishment for you

25. So have hope in him and listen
To what he has forbidden or ordered

26. He is the warner for you, so obey
And I think warning suffices

27. Or have you not seen them gathering
From the deserts and settlements

28. All assembled in Zawya
Anxiously waiting

29. In a distressing stance
A lesson for the cautious

30. Bewildered, till it was said
No burden or sin

31. You see them gathered
Like scattered locusts

32. Bowing down to the king
The master, hero, most pious

33. Whispering to each other as if
Competing to the feast

34. The one in the middle asking
When will this distress end?

35. They pray a lot to their Lord
In the darkness and dawn

36. As if it were Judgement Day
No escape or refuge

37. Each one sees he cannot remain
And awaits the news

38. They will not defend each other
When matters get difficult

39. Do not deny him when
He gathers people and waits

40. O you wise ones, do not
Disobey him in what he ordered

41. And sincerely purify
Your intentions in what you are compelled to do

42. The people's manners have changed
And every manner was ordered

43. Their colors varied
And turbidity was poured into purity

44. And the injustice of the unjust increased
Upon the innocent and spread

45. So the imam came to the rescue
With the help of the Able Lord

46. Saving them from a predicament
And protecting them from all evil

47. Oman was lost without him
God's justice spread in the land

48. He is the drawn sword
The brave, daring one

49. Like a shooting star when it sets out
Or a blazing fire

50. Who can be saved if he appears
Or brandishes his sharp sword?

51. Who can fault in ignorance
The sultan of justice if he conquers?

52. Except the few foolish
Of mankind and humanity

53. So open your eyes, o youth
Leave nonsense and take heed

54. You will see them soon
In dire tightness and disgrace

55. Let me prolong praising him
Rightfully, and excuse me

56. Only the excellent flourishes
With garlands, rubies and pearls

57. Praising the imam intercedes
On a day with no escape

58. The Prophet said: "Learn
Proper, flourishing poetry"

59. For in poetry is wisdom
And eloquence for the heedful

60. Last, o imam of Muslims
Always successful

61. As long as lightning flashes or
Clouds rumble and pour

62. Or a longing one parts from
His homelands after long travel

63. Or the morning breeze blows
Through the branch of the willow at dawn

64. Or a bird cries out at daybreak
From the tree branches

65. Or the full moon appears at night
Or dawn breaks and pours forth

66. This is from the slave who
Boasts with his praise

67. As long as lightning flashes at night
Or a bird cries out on the tree
