In the chronicles of justice

3. Man's hastiness is good
Better than delay in giving

To people of dignity

5. There is no good in hastiness
To be expected from the righteous

6. Rather, the prudent do not hasten
In matters of the flock

7. Procrastination is an ornament
To the brilliant minds

8. While hastiness is a flaw
In the nature of the righteous

9. Excessive hastiness is only good
In giving and charity

10. While deliberation is better for those
Presiding over court cases

11. There is no good in procrastination
In the nature of the decent

12. Rather, good is found
In expediting justice

13. There is no good in hastiness
For those with noble souls

14. Excess in it
Causes ruin and loss

15. Hastiness is acceptable in some
Virtuous matters

16. While I see procrastination in them
As a vice of dignity

17. The best dignity
Is hastiness in giving

18. Whoever seeks otherwise
Is lacking, by the righteous

19. You praise hastiness, my friend
Yet it causes loss

20. So praise deliberation highly
For it is the best dignity

21. Do not weary yourself praising
The hastiness of some people

22. No, and do not blame
Procrastination of the decent

23. Use hastiness appropriately
Clearly and openly

24. And use procrastination appropriately
