1. God gifted you kingship and splendor
And glory that humbles generations

2. O ally of the Most High, God chose you
The purest Imam of all people in deeds

3. You, you are the virtuous young man, father of the Arabs
Father of all people, you will not cease

4. O son of the Sultan, you are like your name
And the father is disobeyed in his punishing son

5. You are our master and we are your slaves
We accept your approval, state after state

6. Your palms have drowned us in generosity thus making us forget
Our uncles and cousins calling us

7. You know best our state, if we need
Something from you, asking is no shame

8. We have never seen you, not even for a moment
Except your light greeting hills and hills

9. People's faces shine in your blessed youth
A beauty greeting the words

10. O son of the Sultan, our sword, if we saw
You unsheathed, all became possible

11. You who ordains and where do you ascend while I have walked
Barefoot to your shoes, my sandals

12. Who approaches you or comes near you hopes
From you, ease without fear of little

13. No man has praised you unless
He became, through your grace, best of people

14. O son of one whose palms are clouds
And in war uncovers the creeping

15. The rhyming gifted me verses about you
So I presented this praise of you extemporaneously

16. You have a wisdom that makes mountains humble
You who surpassed men among men

17. An aura that appeared putting out the sun
And a reputation graying infants

18. Or a dew, if dispersed among the people
Of the world, no stinger would be found

19. We have not seen a king but you who equals
His servants the kings and the tyrants

20. All thank you for your grace when you bestow
Upon them your abundant favors

21. How can creation not thank a Sultan
Whose blessings upon them continue

22. By my Lord, I roamed east and west
And tested people, throngs after throngs

23. I did not find but a sincere lover to you
A quintessence that delights me when he speaks

24. By my life, the ungrateful have surely admitted
To your merit, praising you lavishly

25. We did not differ in mentioning your merit, but
We did not exert much effort arguing religion

26. In praise unlike any garment's pretense
I built a thought as if built of prose

27. Deserving favor and regard
It has outdone the boastful and surpassed the well-watered

28. It has excelled in appearance and lost beauty
So lend an ear to it when it speaks

29. In praise of you obediently
You match it so be generous with it, it came to you

30. Seeking bounty, arriving expecting favor
For its father before, when it was young

31. Attained from you esteem and reverence
He still resides in your proximity

32. Wherever you were, he always attended
This is the pinnacle of praise. Let whoever wishes

33. Say likewise or otherwise tiresome
Live delighted for an age for your hands have built

34. The enemies and the riches
And remain as long as the pigeons coo

35. And the bereft turns to the ruins
