1. Submit yourself to the Lord of the High Throne, and rely
Upon Him, and befriend the best companion.

2. Do not seek anything except from Allah what you desire,
And no doubt that Allah is with every seeker.

3. Do not stop seeking Him, for He
Contains the best gains for every young man.

4. And remember therein whoever knew Allah,
For that is proper for the benevolent, not shirking.

5. And avoid the people of tyranny, ignorance and betrayal,
And seek to be the highest in knowledge and ranks.

6. And be silent in every gathering and council,
And speak the truth in every duty.

7. Do not show laughter in every phrase,
But little, in wondrous matters.

8. And be not foolish, little reflecting,
For it is not yours to speak randomly.

9. And whatever mistakes show from a companion of yours,
Meet them with forgiveness from you, the mistakes of a companion.

10. And do not do a deed without consultation
From the Master, Lord of Beneficence.

11. And do not disobey Him in anything He wants,
For obeying Him is an obligation on every earner.
