1. Greetings of peace and devotion are manifest, and praise
And sincerity and affection without pretense or display

2. And goodwill of pure and earnest devotion
And sincere salutations and clarity gleam and portray

3. Mention of great generosity and noble deeds
And passionate fervor that fades not away

4. And pure eulogy beyond measure or account
Quintessence of devotion its constancy on display

5. To a king none asked me of but him
Though from him I found favor and largesse each day

6. To a king I never forgot for a moment
Throughout time, loyalty prevailed in every way

7. To a king whose radiant visage illumed
All places whereon his perception held sway

8. He whose wealth was my wealth and mine his
And praising him after prayer my homage and way

9. Al-Qarm Al-Jawwad Bala'arb he is the king
To him belong praise and eulogy come what may

10. Noble of soul, glorified with honor and might
And fathers of his like, magnanimous were they

11. Eloquent, when he speaks all orators feel
Brother to his tongue, though fluent their say

12. Articulate, when his eloquence is revealed
Orators abashed, though skilled in their display

13. To describe his excellence and praise his merit
Poets must bring eloquence great in every way
