1. Your letter reached us, bringing great joy
That heals the heart of all sickness

2. You mentioned that we left our homes
And our loved ones, our kin and family

3. But think not that we miss our meadows
Or the homes of friends, uncles and cousins

4. Nor the neighbors whose affection was precious
Though long separated, we've done no wrong

5. We left the tribes which were our home
Seeking God's bounty, no shame in this plight

6. Though we are sons and the tribes are our mothers
Men need mothers to be upright

7. We travel far seeking livelihood
With integrity and faith our guide

8. We're well, joyful, blessed and provided
Our rivers flow, provisions abide

9. Our tribes remain the crown of our riches
The head protects the wealth inside

10. We roam east and west, near and yonder
Crossing mountains, no trails we deride

11. Seeking to please the Lord, provide for families
Men must seek shares allotted in life

12. We search all directions for daily bread
Submit to God's wisdom and might

13. Think not sustenance passed you unnoticed
Without striving in earnest daylight

14. We came to Kurshah, town of honor and plenty
Whose people are valiant and bright

15. They rallied behind their Imam
Noble lords, who shun tyranny and blight

16. Steadfast friends of all Imams
As were their forebears in peace and in fight

17. Leave talk of tribes and clans, no difference it makes
All equal in the Almighty's sight

18. Each tribe thanking Allah who unites them
The Just Leader of Arabs and non-Arabs alike

19. The sword of justice, our Sultan's defender
Hero of Malik, shining bright

20. God's blessings on him as long as stars glitter
And lightning flashes illuminate the night
