1. A greeting like the fragrance of musk, nay it is sweeter,
And more delicious than tumultuous floods, more soothing,

2. And more luscious than honey mixed with chains of pearls,
And more soothing than the saliva of the beloved, and sweeter.

3. It surpasses the diffusion of fragrances, its breath,
And it flows with the scent of aloeswood when it burns.

4. It consoles the hearts of lovers with sweetness,
And it takes away sorrows whenever it passes.

5. And if its words are recited in gatherings,
A child, an old man, and a gray-haired one cry out.

6. So the mute spoke of the palm of the Kalim, and Ka'b
Surpasses the splendor of the sun before it sets.

7. It contained words that mean as if they are
Necklaces of ruby, nay it is more amazing.

8. And the beauty of praise for what the date palms desired
And it leaned towards the valley of ‘Utiq, always flowing.

9. And memories of greetings that renew what is passed
Of affection and mercy that does not disappear.

10. I single out with it the pure, generous Muhammad,
The young man of glory and respected courageous hero.

11. The brother of nobility, kindness, good news, and contentment.
He is the chosen one in every loving heart.

12. And it was fitting that we visit your homes,
Hastening on foot, not riding on camels.

13. And we crave to walk barefoot to visit you,
But deserts are between that and twisted paths.
