1. The Prince of the Faithful and his mention
Are paired with the revealed verse in remembrance,

2. For the saying of Allah's Messenger: "You will meet my progeny
Together with Allah's Book at the Basin's edge."

3. When the leader of the Gathering appears to beholders,
By the afternoon! The deniers are surely in loss.

4. And his orphaned crown suffices creation,
Containing such splendor and pride as it encloses,

5. Never before him did a planet appear to me
Shining with the brilliant sun at noon.

6. It is but the sea, no wonder,
When adorned with pearls and precious gems,

7. Though it seeks them not out of need—
The sun at daybreak suffices the shining stars.

8. And opposing it is a halo for the shade
Through which forever it rises over the halo of the moon.

9. It is but some of the clouds of His right hand,
The wellspring of clouds still being the Ocean's surge.
