1. O commander of the faithful and best refuge
Progressing to his protection is best course

2. As if when I set my aim to you
I aimed for the Holy House and its cornerstone

3. And it was as though in my standing
I was before it, between Zamzam and the Standing Place

4. O my Master, remembering you while sitting
And O my Master, remembering you while standing

5. And you, when I wake, are the companion of my thoughts
And so you are, the delight of my sleep

6. And your love, if it has settled in my heart
It has settled in my flesh and in my bones

7. So without you, my prayers would not be accepted
And without you, my fasting would not be accepted

8. Hopefully I will be given your cup on the Day of Resurrection
And when I drink it, my wish will be fulfilled

9. And I will enjoy the best life in the Gardens
By your grace and great bounty

10. The prayers of Allah never cease to reach you
And greetings of peace continue to follow
