١. فَدعِ التَّمَدُّحَ بالقديم فكم عَفا
في هذه الآكام قصرٌ داثُر
2. Khosrow's palace today in its destruction,
Is better for you than a new, flourishing hovel.
٢. إيوانُ كِسرى اليومَ عند خَرابِه
خيرٌ لعمرُك منه خُصٌّ عامِرُ
