1. My tears and laments have undertaken
To mourn the passing of his exalted glory

2. My eyes overflow with tears
And my eulogy flows like a stream

3. For my soul to pour out its sadness
When remembering those noble traits

4. Praises for Ahmed, best of mankind
Given precedence over the messengers

5. His names built from letters of praise
Say “doer”, “active”, or “intensified”

6. His actions have the morphology of wisdom
Never did an act of his ascend but ascend

7. His signs in scripture, a revelation
That came summarized and detailed

8. His verses a shining light of truth
A clear text without interpretation

9. His miracles are wondrous events
And his reports of what was and what will be

10. Comprehending all branches of knowledge
And all that was ever written or recited

11. Embodying virtues of knowledge and manners
Amongst the Arabs of the peninsula

The prophet who guided mankind deserves mourning

13. When departed to spread guidance
More deserving that praises be directed to him

14. A crescent in the lights of prophecy made perfect
Ahmed most deserving of praise from God's servants

15. For the abundant guidance, loyalty and counsel he exalted
What loss can amass tears more than his loss?

16. Have not all tribulations been gathered in it?
Happiest are those who visit his grave

17. Greet, draw near, and pray with the angels
Most fortunate are those who touch his burial shroud

18. Becoming embraced in the tomb
You have gained eternity O my soul, so halt

19. While you have not bestowed eternity, refrain and reconsider
But you have not heeded the warner, so how long

20. Shall I call you, and you say “wait, wait”
I will pierce through the distance to Muhammad
