1. I boast to mankind with the Hashimi Muhammad
Of the one who is sent to humans and jinn

2. I inform that he has a right over all creatures
And virtue and bounty without any conferrer of bounty

3. His prophethood came last but preceded
So it excelled and surpassed all outstrivers in the race

4. A prophet, and Allah's truth, who awakened the nomads
To Him early, without deviating to arrogance

5. Sleep left my eye for a caravan I followed
And I cried longingly for him, but

6. I renounced though I did not sin, rather it was allotted
And what is allotted cannot be done by me

7. I grew in the land of West in soil remote
From the best purpose, until my years mounted

8. I throbbed with an arrow in my principles but found
No intercessor save my love and praises, I

9. I excelled in poetry about the Prophet, making it
A motto so He may have mercy on His servant, the supplicant

10. The noble of mankind is one whose arrows do not swerve
He is certain in knowledge and truthful in supposition
