1. I boasted with praises of Prophet Muhammad
So blessing upon whoever lent me their ears or paid heed

2. I became needless of praising any king
For I found the livelihood more delightful and sublime

3. I defeated the masters of poetry when I praised him
Thus I was the most eminent in praise

4. Whoever preferred praising other faded
And whoever is excessive in praising the Prophet gained nothing

5. I made your hearts familiar with the stories of the Messenger
And I composed for you this permitted gift

6. I drew for you from that ocean a draft
That would reach the eloquent wording

7. The Chosen one headed to perform Umrah after Khaybar
Additional favor from Allah overflowing

8. His companions conquered after Mutah
So those who chose martyrdom and sought it died

9. The morning the chosen Zayd and Ja'far's death was announced
Followed by Abdullah in that turmoil

10. Wonders, if the wind blew them, would not have reached
But Gabriel did convey

11. The veil of the people of earth was removed by his light
And the eyelids of the arrogant whom tyrannized were covered

12. Every arrogant straying with his honor
When he saw the glorious honor of guidance recoiled

13. The swords of the Chosen were in their necks
Shedding blood from their tyranny already putrid

14. The savior of all people is this Prophet and their rain
Nothing does the Merciful prohibit except an oppressive aggressor

15. Clouds of his hands pouring again and again
Whenever the valleys are filled he returns to pour

16. Downpours that quenched arid lands till they became
By the auspice of Allah's Messenger, a blooming meadow

17. The sincere ones who emptied their hearts for virtue
And in the mold of benevolence and beauty poured

18. The cool drink of all people in the Resurrection is his pond
By Allah, how pure, sweet and permitted

19. I forgave the sins of lifetimes if I visited Taibah
And rubbed my cheeks into its soil immersed

20. My passion is severe and my yearning is fervent
Oh if only I was given way to reach
