1. The enchanting gaze, languid eyes
Neglected, and his estrangement endless

While he slept, oblivious to the wakeful one

3. I fancied his love, though I hadn't fancied
That he felt any fondness towards me

Can assure me that he remembers?

5. O full moon, this blossoming spring
Rise and hasten its seasons, hasten!

Oh fate, you wear out the writer, and how much

I must take a trip to see my hopes

Than an arriving ally or reinforcements

A healer of the rightly-guided, skilled, eminent

28. O torrential rain of one ever-pouring
O mighty lion amidst the thickets lying in wait

29. O barren sandhill and heap together
Were it not for you, the mother of dew would be barren

30. You brought forward when you brought forward in the fight
Like a violent flood made turbulent

31. On the back of a dune collapsing with its blade
As if it were the belly of a flowing stream

32. You make those enemies meet their fate, terrified, for ages
With might beyond fear or anxiety

33. How many were seeking from you, O king
When you were remote from the riverbank

34. Were it not for your help the ode would fade
And afterwards could no longer be displayed

35. And none would see in anyone’s hand
The gift of the daughter of intellect, a skilled poet
