1. No excuse for the unwise ignorant one,
With fiery gaze yet dimmed sight.

2. A night whose darkness is like gloom,
Its face bright like the radiant morn.

3. A cheek cool as frozen pearls,
Burning my heart with its soft murmur.

4. A green meadow spread open,
Diffusing its fragrance as it unfurls.

5. As though the dew in its corners
Were pearls strewn on embroidered cloth.

6. The boughs tremored from the morning breeze
Rustling through it, stirring the stream.

7. In it I awake headless each morn,
Intoxicated by its embrace and my fate.

8. O Abul Fadl, of endless grace,
Cave of hope, refuge for the poor.

9. O living spirit, place of comfort,
When fate assails it’s you we beseech.

10. You who have eased our plight
With generosity making hardship disappear.

11. Whose views the spears deride,
As do the sharp swords in our midst.

12. My lord Majd al-Din, it's you
Who makes the destitute's life less bitter.

13. O wise soul on each new day,
Cloud bursts of ideas that pour.

14. You're a noble not pretentious when seated,
Supported your esteem is supreme.

15. You who shares his bounty, immersed in blessings,
Virtuous, conscience clear of blame.

16. Though darkest troubles and bitterest plights,
You're the full moon dispersing the clouds.

17. Many a guest and sword you host,
For that you're cherished and for this esteemed.

18. Your nobility is the epitome of grace,
Your glory and goodness is spread far and wide.

19. O vanquisher of tyrants, protector of the weak,
Breaker of the haughty and cruel.

20. From your traits I have blissful gardens,
Beautifully bestowed generous waters.

21. My song of praise rings true, not
Vainly prideful or seeking favor.

22. As though the year I spent in the shade
Of your gifts was but a brief moment.

23. Still possessed of a kingdom steadfast,
No pillar of earth more firm founded.

24. Remain the best of men to emulate,
In deed, for good, a warrior who merits.

25. And follow his example hosts do,
To give with munificence bountifully.
