1. O Ad-Din, whose hand is more generous
Than the torrents of overflowing life

2. O best of kings, whose good deeds are plentiful
And exceed all bounds and limits

3. O you whose true love appears sincere
Absolved from the wrath of the Creator

4. Delaying my allowance, O companion of dew
Has added to my worries and thoughts

5. Your generosity has no "buts" or "howevers"
Nor my praise has caused any deficiency

6. So speak, O generous one, describe to me
Your bounties, from whom and their bitterness

7. To whom shall I hope and exert myself
And who do you think understands my poetry

8. And who shows me no kindness
With eyelids devoid of gold dinars

9. Except you, O ever-beneficent one
Who exchanges lifetimes for ease

10. So send my allowance, ratifying it
And remain mighty King and neighbor
