1. Your generosity is beyond counting,
And your abundant favors know no limit.

2. You have honored your nature and disposition,
Leaving no flaws for us to mend.

3. For one who hopes and asks of you,
There are means from your magnanimity that do not refuse.

4. No shame to one who extends their palm,
To the palm of your endless generosity.

5. Your bestowal is a twin, and glory sublime,
Your palm flourishing, your hair curled.

6. An outpouring flows from you, ever renewing,
Your munificence each day innovating.

7. You have no restraint in your charity,
Disappointing no one who hopes in you.

8. To you belongs the strongest pillar, when
The turns of fate and opinion grow long.

9. You are the cloak of the Abbasids,
And a challenger to any ruler but them.

10. Your weapons are ready for all events and frays,
While their harvested arms lie scattered.

11. White antelope and brown oryx and zebra—
At dawn you startle them stripped bare.

12. I swear by the life of Al-Adil in us,
The East and West will live by his glory.

13. My band, light of step, their riding beasts
Rushing to his gates, necks outstretched.

14. He quenches, with his wellbeing's yield,
Their thirst forever, their hearts cooled.

15. His threats he ever defers,
While his promises he hastens to fulfill.

16. So, he is a rising star whom good fortune exalts,
And a warrior star whom success aids.

17. A rain whose downpour is pure, a lion,
Bold in the abundance of his coat.

18. By him the plump gazelles are humbled
To breasts never still from panting.

19. Of the exalted folk who raised glories
With unmatched glory nothing matches.

20. When they camp, they are moons and clouds,
When they ride, they are mounts and lions.

21. O you whose delegation is never done
Going and returning to the climes of his rest,

22. O you whose rule has no ending,
Whose command brooks no resistance,

23. If the dew described him one day, it would say,
“For you is bounty as free as description.”

24. You remain generous as the sky pours down,
And lightning thunders from the weeping clouds.
