1. He woke me while the stars were still out
And the dawn had not yet fully broken

2. With cheeks glowing and eyes shining
Like rays of light and embers of fire

3. Sleep had departed from his eyelids
And he had fastened his waistwrap

4. He had risen early from his slumber
Blinking his drowsy eyes awake

5. Showing off branches heavy with fruit
As if they were made of pure gold

6. Since it started growing he made excuses
Putting off our love for later days

7. He reproaches me, my supplies exhausted
After spending my life's efforts

8. In a garden that makes life laugh
With tears falling like raindrops on flowers

9. The greens have embraced the blossoms
Both the blueness and the rivers alike

10. The strands of pearls have scattered in it
To give the flowers an elegant glow

11. The shy rose is pink, the narcissus dizzy
Among the petals confusion stirs

12. The gentle breeze makes it prosper
Revealing from it profound mysteries

13. The birds forget their pain on its branches
As their songs and flutes spread wide

14. Look at the clouds that have adorned it
With flowers and trees across its expanse

15. Renewing the good deeds of its maker
With the finest traces that remain

16. The helper, the defender, who always
Inflicts vengeance on his enemies

17. The generous patron, oh Lord, never
Deprive him of giving or stopping

18. The One, the King, who was never seen
To have an equal, not even Kisra

19. The world cannot contain his ambition
Nor can the earth encompass his abode

20. Far from shame, he shuns sins
Tranquil, though nights breed disgrace

21. How much he straightens the bent ones
And humbles the arrogant overlords

22. He is jealous in generosity, unwilling
To be compared to the cheap and the vile

23. More valiant than one who dares the spears
On a fateful day of clashing knights

24. Better than one who bears the swords
To protect us from dreadful threats

25. Supporter of Islam, oh you who have become
Like time, bringing both harm and benefit

26. Oh Abu Al-Fadl, whose excellence
Has encompassed the earth as he marched on

27. Oh lion of war, whose generosity
Has always humbled heavy rains

28. You give life to people in the spring
While ages make others wither

29. I swear no era can persecute
One who has you as a neighbor

30. You have granted me blessings and gifts
Support, aid, and triumphs

31. I will keep returning with more
Like envoys traveling far and wide

32. The celestial bodies will think them
Traveling stars as they shine bright

33. You keep enriching time with favors
Lasting through fasts and feasts
