1. You have attained, O glory of guidance,
The religion and the victorious Master,

2. With happiness that has
No limit or number that can contain it.

3. And you remained as the dawn uncovered
Its veil and dawned,

4. In a state where time is folded
And its king's domain on earth expands.

5. O you who intends good
From one who has turned away from good - turn away!

6. Ask me, for I am knowledgeable
Of men; when you want news, I inform.

7. If you seek profit from other than the
Trusted friend hoped for, you will lose.

8. Do not seek the like of him,
If you seek him, you will be frustrated.

9. A king swift to pardon, awe-inspiring,
Hopeful yet cautious,

10. He is more deserving with kindness
And most excellent in benevolence.

11. Open of countenance and hands -
His forehead like the radiant dawn.

12. Exultant in his saddle,
An ocean, a lofty and dignified mountain.

13. Water to the seeker of dew
And fire that burns foes.

14. Neither is kindness burdensome to him
Nor good deed reprehensible.

15. He feeds, gives drink, shelters
The destitute, though times are harsh.

16. You will not see him close off
The meadows like a wary lion.

17. Rather, attacking, his spear
Reddened with stabbing thrusts.

18. And when seen in the breast of foes
He is more beautiful than a breastplate.

19. Possessor of frequent, bountiful gifts
That repeat and overflow.

20. Of beautiful character, and nothing
Of the fragrance of beauty lacked.

21. O you whom we saw whose command
Is firmer than predetermined fate!

22. O doer of excellent deeds
And speaker of decisive words!

23. Perhaps this, my eulogy, will choose
And store for your like of generosity.

24. O you whose share of chastity
From his abundance is ever abundant!

25. O you when your assistance takes hold
Of a brother, loss becomes gain!

26. The drowning man cries out though tomorrow
He be in a thousand shelters and downpours -

27. Still you snatch him as ever victorious
And pardon when you triumph.
