1. Tell Zain al-Din, live long,
For one who fears you and hopes for your safety.

2. You remained a cave for the virtuous,
And a shelter and fortress for them.

3. They find ease in your prosperity,
And blessing in your right hand.

4. You remain joyful and have not
Known sorrows as a song.

5. You are shy to do good,
Humble and excel with us.

6. You took the path of generosity
And made it smooth whether difficult or easy.

7. O you whose generosity
Is plentiful and who dislikes to forbid.

8. O best of those who gave us
Fresh dew and kindness is his tradition.

9. He who gives and then hastens
To give more, may he ransom you.

10. You stood, my master, enriching
The poor and impoverished.

11. By your generosity I see wonders,
And after your gift, excuses are a disgrace.

12. Leave me be, who gathers wealth,
Counting and weighing it.

13. Surely the rich forgets benevolence
While your soul is most generous.

14. I and those in my house
Are busy, and owe you nothing but

15. That we praise you and ask the Merciful
To extend the duration of your abode.
