1. May He who rules the Throne grant you more
O God of the mighty Throne and eternal life

2. Your places of assembly have remained filled
With those seeking refuge, a desired shelter.

3. You are the creed of generosity, without doubt
So may your contentment never lack believers.

4. With benevolence you have drawn near those
Who hope for the far-reaching hopes of the seeker.

5. Nay, by Your creation, so gentle they are
Created more tender than a dewy meadow

6. And a vision brighter than sunlight which dispels
The darkness of fresh sorrows, gloomy and black.

7. We knew Your giving of bounty and favor
Your gift is for the refined and the uncouth.

8. You have scattered the unity of non-existence in us
And brought benevolence into existence.

9. So You made the wolf a morsel
For the hyena with his piercing spear.

10. And many an egg after war
For the fox with his piercing spear.

11. Aid religion, O Yaḥyā, hoped for
You have revived the hopes of all who seek.

12. When the hands of people are barren of virtue
A hand from You creates blessings and new life.

13. Though their gifts may be forgetfulness
We gain real wealth from Your open hand.

14. So take from the essence of words, a word
Studded in verse like specks of hailstone.

15. More subtle than tears, pour
In expression what reddens the cheeks.

16. You remain ever with glad tidings anew
And I remain ever with thanks anew.
