1. He who informed you truthfully of me
Has sealed with generosity my hesitant deficiency

2. I was nothing but a paradise without thorns
Yet when misfortunes pelted me, I became a hell

3. You lightened my burdens and I rejoiced
With the ease of Your blessings instead of my harsh misery

4. How many favors from You I cannot thank enough
That resolved the worries of my soul and strengthened my faith

5. O You who has the will each wretched day
To draw one of the swords of resolve

6. I still desire to avoid the company of friends
For in the dew of Your palm my desire is fulfilled

7. I cannot thank You while convening in an assembly
And when alone my solitude passes with the mention of You

8. My strength to You however long I stay has not ceased
So favor and hasten it for the duration of my journey

9. You remain One whose goodness is praised, for indeed
You are the Springtime in every passing year

10. And you remained, O Abdul Latif, composing
From the ruins of hopes each scattered piece

11. And bid farewell to the passing breeze and whatever tied
The planks of the ship and the mast of the ship
