1. Alas! Your blame does not console me,
My heart is captivated by the eyes of the eyes,

2. Sleep is stolen from my delighted eyelids,
I seek the moon but my eyes deny me.

3. I now perpetually ask the one who prohibits me,
Trusting the untrustworthy one.

4. Since the Almighty judges his case,
I am content with disgrace.

5. He walks like a branch bent by the morning breeze,
Swaying gently to and fro.

6. How can I blame you and your cruelty,
When that weakness and softness are so fair?

7. Slender, as if from tact and stinginess,
His waist is scarcely seen under his clothes.

8. Sweet watered by the knowledge of his smile,
Recognizing coyness and the scent of musk and ambergris.

9. He grows more beautiful whenever my eyes behold him,
Without any embellishment.

10. O night in which I was alone with him!
The wind blowing and leaving me.

11. He reddens my cheek which modesty has not protected,
And his embrace tells stories of righteousness, embracing me and consoling me.

12. The independent one, with all noble qualities,
The glory of guidance, kingdom and religion.

13. A passionate king whose every desire
Tells of Haydar’s bravery on the day of Siffin.

14. I sold my soul to him, trusting
That I would not be cheated, knowing that I am no fool.

15. I took refuge in the nephew of the generous one,
The exalted, overflowing with kindness.

16. Welcome to the destitute, the hope of the fertile land,
Where the hopes of the poor nestle.

17. May God reward him, his good deeds intercede,
Their purity through his noble assistance.

18. And qualities like the wind, blending
With perfume the breeze of the gardens.

19. He continues to guard his honor generously,
An honor that is unfailing.

20. My friend, ask your Lord, is there
Anyone but him, mighty among kings?

21. He reaches the enemy in every battle
Like arrows shot from a bow.

22. In every desolate valley he is seen
As a master, and in the water like a whale.

23. With a radiant face you'd think was,
If frowned at, a pelting of devils.

24. So they became prey, like every outcast
Judged and executed, notorious.

25. O Abul Fadl, listen to praise
That is a bouquet, not the blossoms of gardens.

26. It cools like hail and the necklaces have bloomed,
The roses are moist between the two eagles.

27. O benefactor! He continues to embrace me
With abundant generosity and suffices me.

28. I come praising him so he gives me success,
And I gather his bounty so he enriches me.

29. How often when destitute he gives me hope,
And through your bounty I become as wealthy as Qarun!

30. So I remain with a face radiant from your radiance,
And my gloomy life is illuminated.

31. And I found your feast everlasting
In my state - honor and establishment.

32. For God has exonerated you from all generosity
And people see the generous as mere clay.
