1. Tell Dhiya al-Din you are a man
I thank secretly and openly

2. Arise and enter urgently
To Ala al-Din, our master

3. And tell him from me, O Majid
I did not see him act graciously

4. If Baghdad was adorned by her deeds
And I became in the kingdom Solomon

5. I would think fate had betrayed me
Unless I attained the bountiful river

6. So I am not remiss until I see
Her train flowing gracefully

7. The view is to do good for one
Who deserves praise and kindness
