1. My minister, write down my request
With clarity, friendship, and smooth pen

2. My Lord of forgiveness, of justice, and the Lord who
His gifts are too great to be counted

3. By my father of generosity, by his hand he revived
The dead virtues, grace, and generosity

4. For he is the one who still hopes
One day for hopes with pleasing and gentle ways

5. And he was blamed often for his selfless generosity
Yet he turned away from blame and refutation

6. You see him matchless in his generosity to people
Containing all that exists of existence

7. Bold in his talents, his sword does not rest
In deterring the audacious accursed enemy

8. Protector of guidance and faith, O you whose door
Is where pilgrims alight or take rest

9. O you who eclipse the light of full moons with a smile
Radiant, gleaming through the dark misfortunes

10. To you, O brother of perfected glory and loftiness
You who ascended above any likeness or match

11. Justice that the nation praises you for, struggling
And grace that relieves the toil of effort

12. No, by Him who made you a dam of my breaches
And forbade the aim of villains against my poem

13. I will not stay a night save by you, how could I not
Quench my thirst by your streaming generosity

14. For I have condemned life, then praised it
Through Muhammad, the Sublime, the Exalted, the Praised

15. In war a fierce lion, and imagine him
In peace kinder than a gentle gazelle

16. O son of the noble ancestry, you have conquered the world
With fathers, and forefathers, and ancestors

17. Say that you are unique in your generosity
Like my words professing oneness and justice

18. By God you are a thankful favor
You have never ceased to be generous to me

19. You still attain what you seek
Despite the envy and malice of haters

20. And greetings, O best of creation, living prosperously
With safety that remains and eternal permanence
