1. By your love I swear it's the truest oath
I was not blameworthy in passion

2. For you I have a glance that doesn't suit hardship
And a difficult heart pained by pain

3. O you who intend separation deliberately while being friendly
It was not what the celibates claimed as they claimed

4. You have a moment like the night when it descends
The dawn is hidden and the darkness clears

5. With eyelids, their sick eyelids are ill
The healthy ache, and are not touched by the sickness

6. Alas! Their false accusations won't distract me
From a moderate love that wrongs when it judges

7. By God! Without his union I won't express
Generosity that enlivens the divided fortune

8. A loyal lover who rains down favors
He guaranteed my comfort and inclined toward intimacy

9. He attracted the hands of the eager
And held me with a rope in tribulations that hasn't snapped

10. With a polished, eloquent and wise disposition
Yet with a sweet, praised and virtuous character

11. He intends for every day an ugly determination
The resolve of a man who executes affairs when determined

12. And deaf, with steady steps, and white
Like lightning that flickers in the clouds and smiles

13. With a slender figure as if it's
A palace that the breeze sways when it blows

14. Fierce in battle, kindling fires of turmoil
Endlessly, and he fans what he lit into flames

15. How much did he gain of sword and territory
With a slicing sword in his hand or a pen

16. And if the men lagged, you'd see him
Advancing on the day of turmoil, firm of foot

17. The one who surpassed the brave, if he marched I saw him
At night when darkness draped the plains or a torrential flood

18. My lord the supporter of the faith, Malik, the neglected
Plunder and your equal neighbor in sanctity

19. Could generosity from you elude me with words
Though I and they have unequaled virtues?

20. Or aren't you the composer of every circulating poem
Perhaps you'll spread the stars when composed

21. None has praised the Opening Conquest like it
Nor did the Messenger dispatch to authority

22. And tomorrow you'll return to the seer victorious
And the Arabs, their kingdom was given to the non-Arabs

23. Girded with victory, the lands were stunned
And the caliph was protected from nations

24. And I stand praising your glory, thanking
For the abundant favor you've granted me

25. By your elevation, I'll remain loyal, except for Him
Whom children find when they're distant from non-existence

26. I won't travel except in your train, raiding
