1. I bid my heart farewell in the deep night
So turn away, O eye of mine, or you will find no succor

Sorrow than you have met - would not increase

In it, but did not fulfill the right of my devotion

11. A springtime in which I attained wishes, as though it were
The radiant and glorious springtime of the imam

12. My master of mankind, my father Muhammed
Who inherited glory from the Prophet Muhammed

13. Possessor of noble deeds, a cave whose generosity
Time has not depleted, and whose reputation has not waned

14. He whose place of rest became filled
With roses, and a grove lush with trees

15. He would grant you favor before you asked
What excellent gifts are those of the rightly guided!

16. Twisting the necklaces of intimacy when youinclined toward
Any places of growth, land, or riverbanks

17. I see the spark of determination did not slumber
In the night of complex matters with resolute opinion

18. My worries were clouds of comfort for a hopeful one
Lofty as a minaret of glory and wise of purpose

19. With an ambition whose loftiness surpassed
The inkwells and the stars equally

20. His subjects celebrated when he shepherded them
Gently with the staff of one humble and devout

21. A king whose palm, when swords were sheathed by it
Would return their blades as white as hailstones

22. His hands took up a feat the like of which
Was never seen in glory, then cast the unerring arrow

23. O lieutenant of the Merciful, you who restored
The prime of nomads and the sheep-pastures of the filthy ones

24. You who could dissipate the unity
Of the wicked, O restorer of the dispersed unity

25. O you whose actions appear shining white
In every record, a year of drought made black

26. I continued to be the objective, determinedly inclining
Toward purposes, possessing might and aim

27. You were generous to me and showed the finest
Generosity of a torrent flooding violently

28. By your minister - truly he administered the land
In new events, endowed with penetrating perception

29. I saw him as the bravest who would unsheathe
His sword in battle and above the naked sword

30. And the gentlest to guide the people under the darkness
With the horses stumbling over rugged terrain

31. Accustomed to plunging into adversities through you
He emulated in courage and magnanimity

32. Confronting your enemies and meeting them
On a plain noisy with the neighing of stallions

33. I observed him and saw the best endowed
Man whose sight would please the envious

34. O embodiment of favor, you protected him
And guided aright his blemish that was not set right

35. O sole one of my religion, o you whose love
Obligates all believers to hold fast

36. You remain open-handed, pouring the dew
In sustenance for students, flourishing the hand

37. And you reached your feast day a thousand years, returning
In happiness remaining, and eternal honor
