1. If only they had returned my heart unharmed,
I would not have been distressed by those portraits.

2. When the spies saw me in tears,
Speaking deliriously about my love.

3. My camel continued towards Muzainah to be watered,
Where I donned the cloak of passion.

4. The winds blew freely, but did not
Quench the thirst of the fever's pain.

5. Days when the branch of union was green and soft,
It only leaned over and swayed gently.

6. The cup circulated in the hand of a charming gazelle,
Like a rosy cheek and wrists like jasmine.

7. Renewed by the water of youth extending to me
A palm that prevents insanity and protects.

8. The zeal of youth intentionally obeyed my youthfulness
And disobeyed the blamers.

9. O phantom of delight that traveled by night,
Alive, so I lived obsessed and enamored.

10. Suffering for your sake is the sweetest solace,
And there is no comfort except through your union.

11. Do not take me for my blood, though you are my murderer,
Except the slenderness of waist or breaker of resolve.

12. I shaded the darkness with bright white,
A heap of ashes except for bones.

13. Arrows glide from under the socks,
And count the most intense fires of passion.

14. Seeking the best successor of Hashim,
Whose fingers dispense aid and pour forth clouds.

15. He rectifies our affairs with wisdom,
Always dispelling the darkest night.

16. Laughing through days after their gloom,
With justice making the weeping smile with blood.

17. How many captives did he free and end injustice!
How many distressed did he help and enrich the destitute!

18. By my father Muhammad the chosen Imam,
Who praised the times though once blamed.

19. He ruled us with kindness and inspired our zeal
With generosity, championing the land.

20. Oppression has now left the country,
And justice has cast off its staff and tent.

21. If you wronged, O people of virtue,
They rose to defend the weak with stars.

22. They did not prevent requests but prevented
The religion of Islam from being infringed upon.

23. They inherited the prayer niche, the ancient house,
The Black Stone, and Zamzam.

24. May the generous Hashimite live long,
Always advancing and leading caravans.

25. Ask him for abundant gifts when he sets out covered,
And beware his fury when he frowns with rage.

26. He surpassed the peak of glory for Quraysh,
An edifice of time whose glory will not decay.

27. Noble glory transcending the stars, untarnished,
Making him the oldest of nights since antiquity.

28. If you seek his parallel, you will find him
A matchless man of tremendous qualities.

29. Sweet are his gifts, and he pardons
The faults of others when they transgress.

30. How many difficult affairs has he resolved with his wisdom!
And how much by him is the immutable decree overturned!

31. He helps the deserving and sacrifices himself for others,
Sanctified by time against any doubt.

32. How he shouldered the burdens of kingship, empowering his minister!
And propped up the pillars of governance!

33. Supporting guidance, religion, and the sanctuary,
Mature in composure beyond mortal men.

34. Prepared to confront events with wisdom
And steeds abstaining like fasting monks.

35. As if the one wearing such accessories
Were girded with a surging, brimming sea.

36. The management of one made the most perfect Caliph
And wisest in governing affairs.

37. May his Lord aid him with success and make me
Submissive to the fortune of the Imam made perfect.

38. May he live long, praised with sweet words,
Generous, majestic, glorious!
