1. With you, O Shahab al-Din, the path of hopes has become radiant
For every terrified soul

2. You are but a steadfast dream mountain
And a knowing cloud and sea of knowledge

3. You have an ease that never ceases within
Bestowing bounty, while outwardly silent

4. By my father and myself, your noble manners
Are like a garden, satiated by seasoned showers

5. O you whose kindness has become a dwelling
Among the best of lineages and most generous tents

6. I task my need to none but the generous like you
A noble son of a noble sire

7. And I see mighty destiny hoarding its succor
For the defense of each mighty one, each grand

8. So aid me against my fate with helping succor
And look upon my excellence with merciful eye

9. My horses and your right are like mirages of dune
Dawning and darkening without lack

10. Until people feel assured before the assault
And your servant is as Roman merchants

11. Favor him and greet despite the enemies' throng
Rolling bliss and bounty in waves

12. So he who seeks the barley grain from you
O son of al-Muzaffar, is not deprived
