1. Let not the critic of passion blame
A love for the full moon’s radiant flame

2. A love for the branch, brightly arising
The beloved of all poetry and word

3. Pearls of my smiling rose appear
Illuming my slender physique so dear

4. I’ve become in my love's carriage, its prisoner
A foe to all but love's pleasure

5. And I surrender my eyes to tears
My body to illness and wasted years

6. May God shower us with peace
By my life that shines from darkness released

7. Gardens blush through clouds’ weeping disguise
Branches trill the songs of doves' cries

8. Drenched in perfumes from flasks pouring
The anklets sound and belts adoring

9. None but you have I visited for pleasure
Walking not the paths of modest measure

10. My companion not king nor minister
But cutting nights with embrace and chatter

11. Still tying me in knots from your passion’s snare
Not leaving with dispute but staying there

12. I complain of sustenance but does it come
By a broken slave's bleating and hopeless hum?

13. An oath cannot create honorable ways
If up all night by scoundrels I stay

14. My shelter is one who praises me in rhymes
Guarding poetry that within him chimes

15. Sending clouds of inspiration most high
Whose streams of generosity never run dry

16. A hero who in morning light does ride
To spill the blood of enemies in his pride

17. A wish fulfiller, bones and skulls do crush
With steeds like ostriches in Excellent's rush

18. No ignoble soul nor one who boasts ofmight
But bestowing kindness without need to fight

19. His glory has no match or contention
And no equal in his noble intention

20. Consumed with gifts, as heroes do delight
Ever feeding all, both day and night

21. A champion whose morning rays unveil
Slaying foes, although they wear coats of mail

22. O Crown of Excellence is your reputation!
Above all mankind in your lofty station

23. With modesty and dignity esteem'd
Ways of honorable fathers you have redeemed

24. Your strong loyalty resembles sable musk
That pilgrims love when on pilgrimage they embark

25. The feast day brings tidings of your treasure
Rising ever higher in fame and measure

26. It reports you keep the fast with devotion
Feeding food in the month of Ramadan

27. I want of you what you know I desire
A steadfast loyal friend til I expire

28. Vanquishing my woes with your army immense
Of generous gifts too many to commence

29. So continue as you are, my wishes heed
Remain my fortress in time of need

30. Drive away my sorrows, be my medic
With your healing gifts thatshall ever stick
