1. O house of Zainab, no state became you
And from you no ruins or ruins departed

2. My covenant with you, I established its pillars
A branch and its leaves of musk and chains

3. And I had in you brothers I loved
And for your family pleasant and preoccupations

9. With close kin and gathered family
The house intimate, the neighborhood halal

10. Today I am patient away fro her, and my heart aches
My eyes pouring, and the tears plentiful

11. O guide of camels, if a land constrained her
Head for it, swear by her cheek and temples

12. And seek the arrows whose flow quenched each passerby
For people are folk of arrows, wherever they leaned
