1. To Him, glorified is He, I plead
And I hope for that which is hoped from Him, so I ask

2. And I intend well in my submission and humility to Him
And in Him alone I trust

3. And I accompany my hopes to His bounty
And I descend my needs to Him who does not withhold

4. So Glorified is He who is the First and the Last
And Glorified is He who is the Last and the First

5. And Glorified is He to whom faces bow in worship
And from whom every possessor of might is humbled

6. And He who is One, with no equal or
Similarity, nor can any be compared to Him

7. And minds are confounded in describing His essence
So they have no entry into the how and where

8. He guaranteed provision, not by obligation
But by His grace, for He is the Provider

9. And He did not seize the disobedient slave for his sin
But He gives respite and is forbearing

10. Forbearing, Tremendous, Merciful, Generous
Kind, Compassionate, Bestower, Patient

11. Bountiful, Glorious, Compassionate, Gentle
Sublime, Beautiful, Beneficent, Munificent

12. To Him belong the firmaments that descend in awe
And crack from the water He pours and splashes

13. And He created from nothing a lover, ecstatic
Who praises therein His thunder and shouts His Oneness

14. And He gave life to the regions of earth after their death
With the harmonious rain from pouring clouds

15. And He caused the winds to blow without being blown into
Traveling without a being to control and reason

16. So Glorified is He who drives the winds wherever He wills
To reach all the worlds and encompass them

17. And in His invincible sovereignty He sees
And hears from us what we feel and express

18. He encompasses that which hearts conceal in their actions
And knows the creeping of ants and the darkest night

19. And counts the number of drops, sand, and pebbles
And that which is lesser than they, to the utmost detail

20. And knows the weight of mountains and their mass
As tons, particles, less or more

21. Your tenderness, O He whose overflowing grace
And whose bounty encompasses all creation

22. O Forgiver of terrible wrongs
O Executor of what He wills to perfection

23. O Splitter of dawn, seeds, and nuclei
O Reviver of spirits on Resurrection Day swarming

24. Answer my prayer, O my Master, and fulfill my need
Swiftly, for it is the way of servants to pray insistently

25. My need is only that which You already know
Though great to me, with You it is easily solved

26. Take care of the son of Yahya Al-Sharqi, Muhammad
And grant him in the two abodes what he hopes for

27. Drape over him the veil from every calamity
For Your drape covers creation completely

28. Honor him with the Qur'an and make it his authority
An intercessor for him when no intercession is accepted

29. For the more he recites it hoping for abundant reward
On the Day of Requital, may it not be denied

30. Treat him gently, and have mercy on those around him
For some carry others’ burdens

31. Reward them in this world and from its tribulations
And on the Day when deeds are weighed, recompense them

32. And the one reciting it, forgive his sins, though
Burdened with the weight of sins, fettered

33. He came to You with no pure or cleansed heart
Nor righteous deeds he used to perform

34. Nor does he hope for mercy from other than You
Nor seek grace from the gracious

35. Rather he came destitute, confessing his sin
Sins and burdens upon his back he carries

36. So fulfill my hope in You, O ultimate desire
For You are the fortress of those who hope in You

37. And say: O Most Merciful’s servant! For My mercy
I created you, and whoever seeks refuge in you is completed

38. I will immerse you all in the sea of My bounty and honor
And give you safety on the Day when relatives are preoccupied

39. And if I open the Gardens of Eden for one who enters
Say: O My servants! This is Paradise, enter

40. For your bounty, O Lord of Majesty, harbors hope
And Your cord to those who hope for good delivers them

41. And bless and salute every glance
Upon Ahmed whenever lightning flashes

42. A prayer that rivals the sun in light and loftiness
And puts garden flowers and basil to shame

43. Specifically for the beloved of both worlds, and then
His family, for they are the most honorable and virtuous
