1. For You is praise, a praise we delight in remembering,
Though I cannot enumerate all thanks and gratitude.

2. For You is pure, beautiful praise that fills the heavens,
And its regions, the earth, the land and the sea.

3. For You is hidden, blessed, endless praise,
The ink of the ocean falls short of writing it down.

4. For You is praise, glorifying You, ever standing,
In good and bad, wishing only You.

5. For You is praise, paired with thanks to You always.
For You is first praise, for You is last praise.

6. For You is the most beautiful praise, You are most worthy of it,
In every state, apparent or hidden.

7. For You is unending praise, without end,
You are my God, how right and proper indeed!

8. For You is praise, You of greatness, and whoever
Thanks You has attained gratitude.

9. For You is praise that cannot be counted by one
Who would count pebbles, plants, sand and drops of rain.

10. For You is manifold, multiplied praise
For the subtlest, sweetest blessings we have received.

11. For You is praise, for You began by praising us
And followed gifts with further gifts.

12. For You is praise You enabled us to give,
And taught us to offer You poetry and prose.

13. For You is praise I seek as a means toward You,
To renew subtle blessings and glad tidings.

14. For You is praise - how many talents You have given me,
And replaced hardship, O my Master, with ease!

15. For You is praise – how many times You saved me
From stumbling, and covered me with a veil.

16. For You is praise – You singled me out and raised me
Above others of my generation, an honor.

17. For You is praise – in it lies my wish, my gate
When hopes fail in the arid years.

18. For You is praise that abolishes poverty with wealth
When, O my Lord, wealth departs and poverty returns.

19. O God, clothe me in Your all-encompassing mercy
That has spread through and expanded the wilderness.

20. And strengthen my weak soul and anxiety
Over poverty, forgive my lapse, and accept my excuse!

21. For I rely on You alone to manage my affairs,
My power and protection are from You alone.

22. Save me from the disgrace of begging
And the bitterness of fickle fortune, ever bitter-sweet.

23. Do not let my little ones and their brothers suffer –
They are struck with calamities beyond their endurance.

24. They are accustomed to good, and good is abundant
With You. No, by God, they have known no evil!

25. O Lord, make pleasant for them the meadows of bliss and their shade –
Renew for them Your fresh blessings!

26. And from worldly and other afflictions, take care of them
With good, and make things easy for them through Your grace.

27. Grant me the vigor to struggle for their sake
To please You, and give me, through obeying You, long life.

28. And after my life, pleasing to You, take me
To the white faith and radiant Sunna.

29. In the grave, let me not be lonely in my solitude -
For the grave's inhabitant dreads the grave's loneliness.

30. And if, at the Gathering, the people are squeezed together,
Through Your grace, may I be given my book in my right hand.

31. Then say: "O Abdurraheem, you have won through My mercy
And forgiveness - fear no misery or harm."

32. And for My sake, show kindness to those who follow me,
Relatives, companions - relieve our worries and forgive sins!

33. Let no ties remain binding me
To any great or small unfulfilled need.

34. And bless the soul of the Beloved Muhammad,
Praiseworthy in efforts, follower of the blessed, reddish camels.

35. Blessings and peace be upon him and mercy
Forever growing, lasting through the ages,

36. Encompassing his Family whenever the breeze blows
And travelers journey on a dark night.
