1. Your eyes are like intoxicating wine in feverish desire
And my heart sings with loved ones in estrangement

2. I weep for the abodes after the departing companions, with blood
Unless my tears fulfill what is obligated of me

3. Do not blame the innocent in love of their anguish
In the valleys, send the breeze of youth blowing

4. If a caravan speaks of Nejd, it weeps in yearning
And if it sees a fire in Nejd, it weeps in rapture

5. The leaves are lovers confiding their passion
And lightning inflames them when it ignites

6. It wishes the days of fever would return
And seldom does a thing come back once gone

7. So stop, O camel rider, at the dune and meadow
Let them graze the fresh plants at leisure

8. In the meadow, Nejd's breeze scatters
Seeds of dew's love, so sweet and pleasurable

9. And if you reach its fresh water, say
The fresh water quenched from springs so pure

10. And leave it when it rests from the scent
Of perfumes from Taif or meadows of Qaba

11. And if you arrive at the Abode of Peace, say
My greetings to the most faithful of mankind

12. Muhammad is the best ever halted in its plains
A cave for widows, orphans, and the deprived

13. The Merciful sent him as a mercy
To guide the non-Arabs and Arabs in truth

14. The light of existence, perfect in bounty, when
Delegations crowded its narrow, vast expanse

15. Refuge for every anguished cry, never
Repelled by any peril, always answering pleas

16. The clouds pour when you beseech them with rain
And the palm's son pours gold in his palm

17. The sun strips its garment of light when setting
But Ahmad's light split through the earth, shining

18. Son of Abd Manaf, the sun rejoiced
When it saw him, while the misguided frowned

19. How Quraysh denied his prophecy
And attributed sorcery and lies to him

20. Lost fools insulting him as insane
Leaving no nickname casting doubt on him

21. Until he defeated them with an army beyond compare
Guiding to guidance through war upon war

22. White stallions and black nights
As if amidst the horses they were sprouting grass

23. Among them were champions like Attiq and Faruq
And their equals Uthman and the warrior Haydar

24. Noble leaders honored by God’s existence
Exalted above the exalted in rank

25. Brave and elegant Arab lords
Lords of brown and white swords flaming

26. Plunging into the depths of death
Taking oaths on their spears, most solemn

27. Drinking death in gulps amidst the fray
Not knowing if striking or being struck

28. Loving the Prophet distinguished them
God chose and selected him

29. Supported by God's book, steadfast
Victorious for God's sake, patient

30. O noblest of creations in lineage
And finest selected from their walks or rides

31. Son of Muslim was my next door neighbor
So you became my neighbor after him

32. I send to you from my deputyship
My longing in words like shooting stars

33. So bless Abd al-Rahim and those after him
His family, relatives, and companions

34. And if he calls, answer him, guard his side
And join what his days have severed

35. My weakness cannot resist if he opposes me
While in my hand is your unfailing sword

36. Nor can I lack your support in both abodes
Relying on your station, one like me avoids ruin

37. So aid me and the Muslims when necks are constricted
And pave for me all rugged roads

38. From me to you, may Allah's prayers ever rise
Increasing, engulfing eras and eons

39. Raising you, secret of existence, higher
And your family and companions, nobles of glory

40. Neither rumbling thunder nor singing camel driver
Nor the coo of Nejd's doves sang in rapture
