5. Often when you depart think it as if it
Were a mirage you see amidst the illusion

6. And a beauty that nothing remains of it except
A little spirit in coming and going

7. And the remainder of a magnificent wasted

8. Do you not yearn for the sand dunes when it saw
The garments of spring adorned the forms of meadows

9. And the scent of the breeze melted them yet
How can love and body be unmelted

10. O you who descended to the sand dunes or to those
Of sorrow, greetings of strength and pillars

11. Do you have knowledge of the two sciences or
Of an institute with the two ruins

12. How I long for al-Udayb and its people
And for the waters of al-Udayb of torment

13. And a breeze from towards Taybah makes me nostalgic
That awakens the nostalgic with the aroma of aromas

14. For playfulness, what remains of the separation of my loved ones
From me, and what remains for loved ones

15. Love is hidden by my patience so it spreads it
Tears of an eyelid about the crying of a youth

16. The days have not ceased hitting my gallbladder
Until I resorted to the most mighty pillar

17. And I descended from the sanctuary of Hejaz with what helped
From the family of Ghalib, conqueror of conquerors

18. Al-Aqib the destroyer of misguidance with guidance
And destroyer of termites and competitors

19. Moon shining from the bright Hashim
In the earth the light of guidance and correctness

20. And he became a prophet where Adam was
To be from water and earth of dust

21. So time passed and his traits and attributes
Before his mission in every book

22. His news with the rest of the scholars, monks
And soothsayers and fortune-tellers

23. They knew him before appearance with signs
Titles of them from genealogies

24. And they saw him a radiant crescent moving
With light in the wombs and loins

25. Until God brought him out a straight sword
With the truth refuting the doubts of the skeptic

26. How Quraysh opposed him at first
Fools, how they insulted him with names

27. And they named him with the trait of madness a priest
And a poet and a lying sorcerer

28. Thereupon the veil rose and the sun of prophecy shone
Above every veil

29. Worshipper of the Supreme Lord alone glorified is He
With the sword after the multitude of gods

30. And he became the minaret of religion, clear guidance
And polytheism recoiled on its heels

31. The banners were raised for you O moon of ascendancy
And the end of empowerment drew near

32. So you became with your feet the noblest who walked
The earth, Arab or non-Arab

33. And for you is the highest ascent and pride without contention
Among mankind, O evident of calculations

34. In a faith your marriage was matched after
You invalidated matching in discourse

35. And you are the highest of messengers in status
With majesty, esteem, and high platforms

36. My master, I whom you taught, you melted me
The burden of sins and injustice of my disloyal age

37. If I had not but your singing alone when I performed Hajj
And did not visit except it would suffice me

38. What can you say to a hopeful exposed
To your abundant grace standing at the door

39. And I came to you no knowledge, no deed, and no
Heart pure seeking shelter

40. So turn to the merciful servant with mercy
And intercede for him from the horror of every torment

41. And assist him and those that come after him, and he
Is regretful in the position of regret

42. And with your power defeat his enemies and all who
Harm him of every stubborn skeptic

43. And by the collector of minarets return his love
And the most beloved, disconnected of causes

44. If you stand by me and him we will attain everything
We hope for of good and beautiful shelter

45. And upon you prayed Allah, O flag of guidance
And upon all the family and companions
