1. Will my beloved's proximity return to me,
And the renewal of the bond between us who yearned?

2. After the parting of companions, can there be a union of hearts,
A heart devoid but for the losses it incurred?

3. My blood and tears still flow profusely
Over the ruins and solitary, slumbering hills.

4. My blood spilt from my teary eyes makes clear
That the eyes of the eyes are lethal snakes.

5. Among the sands of a flourishing land
Are gardens with delicate, promising saplings.

6. As if the rays of light on their features
Were flowers of beauty in blossoming meadows.

7. Swaying in the intoxication of youth and morn,
When love calls, the chaste are open reservoirs.

8. Would that I knew of the tents of Hajir
And dwellers of that distant isthmus.

9. Of a meadow that was once our rest and night camp
For us and Layla in friendlier times.

10. What knowledge had the departed of the seeker
Abandoned behind barriers after they left?

11. Stop with me at the most fragrant sandalwood trees,
I implore a heart that answers the implorer.

12. And ask the guide, if he returns
To the bend of affection against my doubts and beliefs,

13. Perhaps the scent of the winding breeze will carry
Comfort to the longing lover's affliction.

14. As for those who performed Hajj to His Full House,
Circling with guidance and fillets,

15. And those who witnessed the lights of those sights
Bowing to the Glorious House in devotion.

16. If your affection for me is scarce due to the distance between us
And nearness of the envious barriers,

17. I will spend my life thanking you
For your blessings, I do not deny or forget.

18. After you nothing kept me from my home,
Nor fear of crossing the darkness of ordeals.

19. Between Mecca and Damascus a magnificent sun rises,
Lighting the universe, its ascending light sublime.

20. A prophet God chose as a sword for His religion,
Empowering him over every defiant enemy.

21. And named him Ahmad and Muhammad,
For he gathered all praise.

22. Indeed he is the best of people from the best nation,
Guiding to a path of guidance and purpose sincere.

23. Through him we rise above the nations
Of past times, and God's book is the fairest witness.

24. He brought us the light of truth while polytheism thrived,
So the foundations of polytheism faded at dawn.

25. And extended over us the shade of guidance,
Showering us with his righteousness like rain clouds.

26. O passing breeze blowing from Taiba's grave,
Carry the fragrant musk winds amidst the phalanxes.

27. Bring these meadows a gift of generosity
Like no other time's generosity that prevailed.

28. Greetings eternal as the sands, rain drops and pebbles,
And the vegetation of the lands and celestial guides.

29. Flowing through the passing days unwaning,
To infinity, endless and forever remaining.

30. To the best of God's creations alive or deceased,
And most noble baby no nobility of fathers precede.

31. Beloved, love itself sprouted in my chest for you,
And I am not the first envious of cultivating that love.

32. I presented the praise of Hashim as a trade
To the season of profits, treasury of gains.

33. To you, intercessor of the sinful, our thoughts arrived
Seeking truth, though our words remain poor in eloquence.

34. How fortunate that they realized the wealth of need
Is in you, and their market flourished again.

35. They came to you gloriously from both deputies
Seeking your praise as the reward for eulogies.

36. Written by Abdurrahim son of Ahmad
And their companion, who suffered from sins, son of Rashid.

37. He still carries in the Maghreb land
The burden of sins heavy as anchored mountains,

38. A wretched pauper settled in his sin,
Challenging the justice of the wise critic in disobedience.

39. My sins, O Master, are folds more than his
While your sea provides the hopeful with sweet rapids.

40. Your generosity, grace and giving abound,
No matter how much is asked, you increase beyond.

41. So do not abandon us, O Master of Messengers,
From kindness, grace or habit you used to send.

42. And say you both are under my protection
From hell, worldly trials and scheming enemies,

43. From intoxication of death and the grave alone,
And every fear standing guard, vigilant and ready.

44. Bless us, those after us, with kindness and care,
Common faith and beliefs we share.

45. For without you, O Master of goals so easy to meet,
We have no pillar of certainty protecting us from harm.

46. No deed we hope will bring salvation
Except your greatest intercession, ready to aid.

47. And send your blessings, O God, endless as the light
Echoing through the heavens from each thunder roar,

48. As long as the frail spider weaves a feeble web,
And every prostrate being from earthly growths implored.

49. And the warbler sings mellifluously in its oasis
On the soft branches it makes its bed.

50. Blessings that rival the wind in musk and ambergris
And rise with the sublime light above the buried.

51. Their unending life conquers eras and epochs,
Eternal in perpetuity, never to fade.

52. Specific to you, uniquely singular One,
And generally upon the noble companions born.

53. Atiq, Farooq, Uthman and the young man Ali,
Followers, family, and the glorious ancestors.
