1. Stand in awe and call upon Him, O you
Surely the Generous answers the one who calls upon Him

2. And seek His pleasure through obedience, for He has never ceased
To be pleased through generosity with those seeking His pleasure

3. And ask Him, as His bounties
Are outstretched to those asking of Him, His hands

4. And devote yourself to Him alone, for everyone
Who hopes in Him alone, He suffices

5. His kindnesses encompassed all creatures
None suffices for creatures but He

6. So the mighty and humble, the rich and poor
Hope for none but Him

7. A King to whom kings submit, and on
The Day of Judgement, their poverty seeks His riches

8. He is the First, He is the Last, He is the Manifest
He is the Hidden, eyes cannot see Him

9. The mysteries of Majesty veiled Him, so notions
Stand still before Him, and mouths fall silent

10. The Eternal, without peer or likeness
Partners and comparisons exist not, forever

11. I witnessed the wonders of His creation in His existence
Had it not been for Him, I would not have witnessed them but for Him

12. And to Him reason submitted, thus believing
In the unseen, preferring love of Him

13. Glory to Him before whom faces bowed
To Him prostrated faces and He created them

14. Willingly and unwillingly submitting to His might
So to Him belong willingness and coercion

15. Ask the particles of existence, for they
Call upon Him as their worshipped Lord who fostered them

16. None was worshipped but Him
And all are under coercion while He is God

17. He manifested to you through your being, from a drop
Human, while none compares to Him

18. And He built the highest heavens and the Throne
And the Footstool, then above all reigned supreme

19. And rolled out the earth, spread as a carpet
Secured with mountains, and adorned it with plants

20. The winds blow according to His command
And the planets and waters flow

21. A Lord merciful, compassionate, gentle
His bounties cannot be limited, however numbered

22. How many blessings He first gave
How many sorrows He made sweet, how many afflicted He cured

23. So if you are tested with exile or anguish
Then call upon God, and quickly say: O He

24. No one hoping for His favor has seen evil
Or anyone seeking Him has had his hopes dashed

25. And for His forbearance - Glory to Him - when disobeyed
He does not hasten punishment on a disobedient servant

26. Who comes to Him repenting, so He accepts his excuse
With generosity, forgiving his sins intended and unintended

27. O You of Majesty, Grace and Generosity
O He whose favors are universal, whose help is sought

28. O You known for good, O Succorer, O Lord, O Master
I have a companion who complains of debts - relieve them

29. And grant him that which he desires
And accept our pleading through Muhammad's merit

30. And through him in your sight of status and rank
And strengthen Your servant Abdur-Rahim with mercy

31. For tribulations have broken his backbone
And grant him from his life every honor

32. And save him from that which he fears for his end
And let him taste the coolness of Your pleasure with him

33. For one who has Your favor cannot lose
And with Your power, foil his enemies, and be for him

34. A sanctuary from harm, and guard his sanctuary
And forgive the sins of his ancestors and descendants

35. And companions, and all who were dear to him
When the paths of my goals narrow

36. There is none but Him to call
Then prayers upon the Prophet especially from him

37. And good spreads to those who followed him
He who sang beautifully in refined odes

38. Or drew the two flashing swords
