1. I knew who rode Al-Burāq as an orphan
With Gabriel, the Trustworthy, accompanying him

2. Until he ascended above the highest Heaven in arrival
And drew near, speaking intimately to his Lord

3. Pray over him and greet him with peace
Is it he who surpassed the honorable messengers before?

4. Intending the prayer through them and declaring greatness when consecrated
He travelled and returned after having reached

5. The Trustworthy one’s known place
Pray over him and greet him with peace

6. Or is it he who is the verse of the bow, his nearness
In his ascension and closeness to his Lord?

7. And saw God with his eye and heart
And learned the hidden, unseen knowledge

8. Pray over him and greet him with peace
He is the one specially chosen for prophethood first

9. While his father Adam was unfinished clay
He who attained the banners until he rose

10. In nobility, achieving pride and veneration
Pray over him and greet him with peace

11. That is the son of Āminah, the bearer of good tidings and the warner
The truthful, the enwrapped, the enshrouded

12. The preceding, the advancing, the delaying
Containing glories, the last and the eternal

13. Pray over him and greet him with peace
That is he whose era was sweetened by the mention of him

14. And the paths of guidance were perfumed by his scent
Whenever the moist breeze passed by his grave

15. It brings a fragrance gentler than musk
Pray over him and greet him with peace

16. The Exalted Lord chose him,
And distinguished him with honors and preference

17. And guided him with the noble, detailed revelation
Chapters and mention, from His wisdom

18. Pray over him and greet him with peace
The fresh scent of Najd has passed in the morning

19. From a meadow at a fragrant tomb
Between the Prophet’s grave and his pulpit

20. Where the Bestower of plenty resides
Pray over him and greet him with peace

21. He is the elite of the Creator and the seal of his messengers
And his specially chosen Trustee, preferred by His Grace

22. My poetry cannot be pearls unless I fill it
With praise of Ahmad, a string of pearls

23. Pray over him and greet him with peace
How many rebels the Chosen One destroyed

24. With his sharpened swords and spears
And the band of supporters, who by Muhammad’s grace

25. Attained honor and the pride of greatness
Pray over him and greet him with peace

26. He led the brisk, sword-brandishing horses to battle
Then the white [banners] were raised, showing guidance

27. And the stallions, who detested evil, raced
And the mothers of misguidance returned barren

28. Pray over him and greet him with peace
The sanctity of Islam was protected by the flash of his blades

29. And the armies of his supporters and brown spearheads
And the shade which watered the sands where he camped

30. [Bringing] the blood of his enemies, and he returned unharmed
Pray over him and greet him with peace

31. That is he who worshipped God and was sincere
And he intercedes on the Day of Requital for the disobedient

32. By his palm the pebbles spoke and glorified
Honoring him and his Lord

33. Pray over him and greet him with peace
In the cave a spider wove a web around him

34. And the water flowed abundantly from his right side due to his excellence
The udder flowed though dry before

35. And the withered trunk became green
Pray over him and greet him with peace

36. The stallion singled out Muhammad with prostration
And the calf inclined upon missing him

37. O you who object to his generosity
Visit a generous one, and seek him with generosity

38. Pray over him and greet him with peace
Who can grant me the fortune to boast

39. And visit him though life does not favor me
When will I look upon the light of Muhammad's grave?

40. And my misfortune becomes bliss
Pray over him and greet him with peace

41. I yearn to visit his plain
Will not my sins be covered by praising him?

42. By God, he will grant me happiness by kissing his tomb
I will not attain great success without him

43. Pray over him and greet him with peace
I continue to gain merits and ascendance

44. By prose arranged like pearls
I gift it from me, an obedient servant, to

45. The one who has always been Kind to the faithful
Pray over him and greet him with peace

46. He is my treasure, he is my pillar, he is my supply
My protector in life and companion in solitude

47. And tomorrow I will plead my case through him to dispel my worries
And he will side with me against adversaries

48. Pray over him and greet him with peace
He is my refuge; through him I was guided from blindness

49. And found comfort from him in adversities
I made him the ladder to the pride of my hopes

50. And for the meadow of hopes, a cloud blocking gloom
Pray over him and greet him with peace

51. O Muhammad, will you save your drowning supplicants
Lost on your path, burdened with sins?

52. If I am not your companion and loyal friend in adversities
Then for whom could I be a loyal friend?

53. Pray over him and greet him with peace
Say, “You, O Most Merciful, and all from

54. Your origin and branches or dwelling
In our extended shade from the trials of fate

55. Include your companion and confidante with your intercession
Pray over him and greet him with peace

56. And with your palm, ward off the treachery of my enviers
Forever, and punish with vengeance those who oppose me

57. And reward my poetry’s words with their intentions
And support me against an unjust oppressor

58. Pray over him and greet him with peace
O you whom God exonerated, the light of messengers

59. Who established among them a warner and bearer of good tidings
I am the product of your kindness, in the barrens and ruins

60. And tomorrow the Day of Reunion will gather us universally
Pray over him and greet him with peace

61. Peace be upon you from me for as long as the morning breeze blows
And the lovely, supple branches entwine

62. And the doves in passion flutter their wings
And your light shines faintly in the sky

63. Pray over him and greet him with peace
And God’s prayers upon you, all-encompassing in His command

64. As numerous as all existence altogether
O God! O you who delight in his mention

65. Whoever among you has erred or settled
Pray over him and greet him with peace
