1. When will the crooked wood and shadow be made straight?
And will pure gold equal it with delusion?

2. And whoever wants to take out alms but does not find
the minimum amount to purify it, from where will he take it out?

3. It is the self, the world, Satan, and passions -
by obeying them, away from obeying God, they pushed me astray.

4. I wake up and spend the day drinking the cup of heedlessness
with the water of false hopes mixed in it.

5. And I wake up and sleep carrying in my scroll
sins that almost make the earth burst out.

6. If I say to my soul, "Prepare with repentance,"
it refuses and passion is enough for it to argue.

7. And if I say to my heart, "Be steadfast with me,"
desires whose fire burns fiercely turn against me.

8. So how much piety and God-fearingness
have hypocrisy and the door of righteousness distracted me from?

9. I want the state of the righteous but I do not have
a religion and path like theirs in religion.

10. And if the brothers gather for remembrance and weeping,
I attend like a spectator watching the play.

11. So my white hair and flaws have shamed me,
and we are close to my departure, and I do not know where I will head.

12. And man has a day when his lifetime ends in it,
and death, and a narrow grave which he will enter.

13. And he will meet the questioners Nakeer and Munkar
who will punish with agony whoever falters.

14. And the long and difficult reckoning will not be easy,
nor the awfulness of a blazing judgment stand.

15. And the Judge of the Day of Judgment will bring out his throne
and judge between mankind while the foolish remain confused.

16. So a group will eternally live in Paradise,
while a group in Hellfire continuously roast and cook.

17. So oh my miserable fortune when the cover is removed,
if I do not have a way out from my sins!

18. And I do not have provision or family or means,
rather Hashimi, you are crowned with glory!

19. I seek refuge in that most noble being and take shelter
in the one who relieves distress when one is distressed.

20. And I call upon Him in the world and so my needs are fulfilled,
and I need Him most on the Day of Resurrection.

21. When the poets praise the nobles of their time,
I praise the one from whose light existence takes its path.

22. And if they mention Layla and Lubna, I mention
the beloved of good mention, immersed in his love.

23. Indeed, the Guide to Truth’s throat is bleeding
and the one gathered by the Ancient Sacred House.

24. Visitors to Muhammad’s tomb have pained me,
so my longing moves with the visitors insistently.

25. The valleys overflow with pilgrims
while I have no camel in the caravan of lovers.

26. And the lightnings of Al-Barqeen laugh in the evening,
so my love is stirred to weeping and ignited.

27. And I find comfort in the most fragrant of spirits
as musk spreads through its corners.

28. A land in which Gabriel folds his wings
and descends from the heavens' atmosphere and ascends.

29. A prophet the sun is jealous of the light of his face,
beauty met the most beautiful cheek.

30. Through him, the days gain beauty and the religion prospers,
and through him the world and religion are adorned.

31. Morals of nobility and beauty of qualities,
and nature of generosity - its sea is turbulent.

32. Rescuer of the anguished, and aid of the seeker,
and lion when the throng of warriors meet fully armed.

33. The enemies dispute with him while the sword is judge over them,
and the winds of victory blow through the people.

34. And behind them is severe might and aid
and view the Simahri knight sees fully armed.

35. So he weakened them, protecting his guards,
and finished them off, empowering his forces.

36. So how many captives are bound in shackles
and how many slain drenched in blood!

37. By striking heads and piercing the insides of abdomens
from which intestines spill out.

38. To you, Intercessor of sinners, my wares -
so set forth in the path of praises continually.

39. Its composer is Abdul Raheem as if they are
stars for which in your sky of generosity he built high towers.

40. So reconcile me with what erases the markings of my sins
and relieves my chest with joy and serenity.

41. And honor me for my sake those who follow me, for we all
head to the water from the overflow of your grace.

42. And may Allah send blessings upon you as long as the breeze blows
and as long as the dawn of its light rises serene.

43. And the inhabitants of migration were blessed with fortune through you -
