Waters the remaining shadows and ruins

2. And the roar of thunder yearns
To renew the covenant with that dilapidated shrine

3. It quenched the thirst of meadows from Wadi ash-Sham to
The slopes of al-Khazam, Shu'ayb, and Ad-Dall

4. The playgrounds of pastime, neither my old nor
My present relate to it anymore

5. Its days with its dwellers have passed, as the
Breezes passed through the vacant valley

6. Who can bring me back the bliss of youth that is
Unattainable, and free me from the confusion of longing for the days of passion, homelessness, illness, while my eyes were busy away from other concerns

7. Revelry was my religion, and the abode of madness was
My home, and in passion were my uncles and cousins

8. Alas! Those days have passed, the best of them
In Al-Ghur, with no detailed description or summary

9. When I remember my days there and
My eyes overflow with tears shedding copious drops

10. Love is only for those who know it
They feel no blame or rebuke

11. And the solace of the morning is to let the pupils quench their
Ceaseless tears with tears

12. So my heart has no right to let its passions
Yearn after an unattainable beloved

13. Praise God for the nights that did not sever
My beautiful patience, nor make me lose my mind

14. Honor is an impregnable citadel, inhabited only by
The guest of passionate love and cubs

15. Struggling is the mark of the righteous, so they are
The people of guidance, dew, and supreme pride

16. The clouds of generosity are the signs of existence, so they are
My lofty arrows and fortunate omens

17. Accompanying them in the gardens of virtue, delighted
And their neighbor in blissful comfort

18. O passerby from the two sanctuaries, heading
To the protected place with folded wings

19. Leave it humming in the settlements of Al-Ghanimiyyah, in
A flowery garden of generosity and grace

20. In the countryside of the compassionate pole of the world of knowledge
Where proverbs abound

21. Al-Makdishi is the aid for the distressed
To resolve dilemmas or open horizons

22. He restored the reality of the spiritual path, O
God, what a true and just saying

23. Describe him with whatever knowledge and deeds you wish
And attribute to him the best, not deficient or exaggerated

24. And his son Sharaf Al-Din, whom
Praises have reached the letter meem and daal*

25. The green of his generous fingers would shame
The clouds with free-flowing rain

26. His life guarded what his life guarded
Sublime morals, protecting honor with property

27. The man of knowledge, forbearance, and generosity, a shining star
Among the worlds, blindingly radiant

28. And the forerunner of religion in the garden of guides is of
Superior virtue, reducing all superiority

29. The virtues of the generous were attributed to him
So every praising tongue stopped

30. Those three are my pride to their father
And my fortress of strength at times of scarcity

31. God bless their blessed branches
A flower from a flower, and substitutes from substitutes

32. Following in the footsteps of their father
The logic of consequences in flexion and substitution

33. He gave precedence to the one whose pure essence
Rose above pride or pretentious grandeur

34. And in Mudhayyisa are suns that were not visited
Except that I saw the corners of earth carrying for me

35. The dust of their soil, erasing sins with it
So with their soil how many burdens were relieved

36. And how many pilgrims and performers of umrah are there
Without effort or ihram and confusion

37. They are a people whose love flows like my blood, so they are
The soul to my soul and limbs to my limbs

38. Their virtues adorned the cheek of time, so
No eras were clearer or state was finer

39. And their works ornamented the joy of life
For Arabs and non-Arabs, in plains and mountains

40. O my blindness of intention, visit the land of gifts and do not
Let the shining lineage prevent you

41. You will find the generous Bani Makdish a sea of riches
That makes you needless of roses, myrtles, and lilies

42. My master Yusuf, hear what I say and do not
Neglect my side, for you are not people of neglect

43. I have loyal devotion from you, rather from your midst
For God’s sake, protect me from every foe

44. The house is your house and the plantation your plantation
And time between退s and advances is yours

45. Protect your sanctuary and say “Do not fear any
Aggression from an enemy or little criticism”

46. For I have good expectations and hopes in you
May God not disappoint me in my fair hopes

47. May you last, and the gardens of religion remain fragrant
With your elders, youth, and children

48. And the soil of Mudhayyisa continue to produce synchronized fruits
Aspiring to magnificence and grandeur
